River Base Camps
We operate two seasonal base camps on the Ganges (Ganga River Base Camp, Season September - End April) and Tons River (Tons River base camp, Season - May - June) from October through June each year.
Large tents with cots, table and chairs, safari showers and toilets ensure "Luxury Camping" in a pristine river setting of silver sands on the Ganges and pine forests on the Tons.
These base camps are the nerve centre of a myriad outdoor activities - white water rafting, canoeing/kayaking, rappelling, rock climbing bouldering, bird watching , angling and day hikes to nearby hill villages, or a discourse on yoga by the banks of the Ganges. Many of our longer treks or multi-day river trips originate or end at these base camps making for a well rounded outdoors experience. Our corporate team building exercises are also conducted from these camps.
